Gina started dancing at the age of three, and now dances fluently in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and hip-hop.
Her first dance teacher was Gina Quinn at Quinn's Dance Studio. At the age of seven, she became the only soloist in that studio.
She moved on to dance at Range of Motion under CeCe Farha, and now Movement Innovations, under Brina Hurst.
She was a member of the Putnam City North pomp on squad for three years and a captain her senior year. In July 2005, Gina attended the Washington School of Ballet and performed seven danced on the Kennedy Center Stage, two of which were solo parts. In 2006 she was named Dancer of the Year for Tremaine Dance Convention, and also received many scholarships, including a two week scholarship to the Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles, CA. In the summer of 2007, she was titled Oklahoma's So You Think You Can Dance winner, where she received a paid trip to Los Angeles to see the finale of So You Think You Can Dance, and the honor of FOX 25's Featured Dancer in 2007. Gina attends the University of Central Oklahoma, where she majors in dance on scholarship. Currently, she teaches and choreographs at Movement Innovations Dance Studio. With only two years under her belt, her dancers have received more than ten Top Overall choreography awards and Platinum scores! She has been blessed in her life and hopes to have a bright future in dance ahead of her. |
